A Southern California native, Jason has deep influences in American roots music - classic country and western, California country, rock, rockabilly, blues, and folk. Formerly a resident of the Atlanta, Georgia area for more than a decade, Jason is now based in Birmingham, Alabama. He frequently appears in Nashville at various venues, including the Bluebird Cafe and around Alabama as solo or as the guitarist for the Martini Shakers rockabilly trio.
Jason’s songs speak from the heart and from experience. He touches relatable themes, imagery and lyrics. Listen on all major music streaming platforms and check the calendar for an upcoming live show.
A lifelong lover of Christmas music, I Need You Christmas was written in 2014, and the demo was picked up by Good Soldier Films for the production of Mistletoe Magic - a Hallmark-type Christmas move released in 2019. This video is a production cut from the movie. The demo was produced by Gator Hole Studio in Nashville and featured a singer named Ronnie Kimball. Ironically, the Jonas Brothers released a song with the same title in 2019. Jason’s own recording of the song entitled Christmas (I Need You) was released in 2022 and can be streamed everywhere.
In 2010, Jason wrote a song in response to a radio contest in Atlanta, GA, which challenged listeners to submit a song about Atlanta Braves player Chipper Jones. This was the result - a parody based on the Dr. Hook classic, "Cover of the Rolling Stone". This gained some attention around Atlanta, and he was interviewed on the local news. Fast forward to 2018, the song was played at Suntrust Stadium, when the Braves celebrated Chipper's induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
